Housing Association Accommodation
Housing association rented properties are homes that are let at affordable rents by local housing associations to people in housing need. The properties are let via HomefinderRCT. Click here to make an application.
By making an application to HomefinderRCT you can bid for properties advertised by any of our six Housing Association partners. In total there are over 15,000 housing association properties within the borough which will be advertised through HomefinderRCT when they become available for letting.
Who can live in a housing association rented property?
Anyone can live in rented accommodation provided by local housing associations. However, properties are allocated to households in line with the published Rhondda Cynon Taf Housing Allocation Scheme.
The demand for housing association properties within Rhondda Cynon Taf is very high in some areas and typical waiting times will depend on your application band and your date of application within this band.
Availability of the size of property within the areas that you wish to be considered for housing will also affect the length of time that you may have to wait to be housed. Please note that should you wish to be considered for areas where there is limited availability of the type and size of property you require, then your waiting time will be substantially longer.
